namitha
The body, the looks, the glamour, you name it she has got it! Yes, Namitha Kapoor one of the most coveted and popular south Indian actress and she is on full throttle and fully loaded to take control of your senses. She has got the guts to show what it takes on the silver screen and she never fails to contribute her part to the overall flavor of the movie.
These days her star value is so high that any movie featuring her can expect a decent reception at box office. Standing a 6 ft tall and weighing more than 70 kg she sure is voluptuous and has made her mark in the hearts of millions of fans. Her beauty, her dance, her figure, her acting, you don’t really have anything in your hand to complain.s
She was born on May 10, 1981 in Surat, Gujarat. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a housewife. She started it out in Tamil movies. Her entry to Telugu movies wasn’t very hard because of her modeling background and she even entered in the Miss India contest and came fourth. Malayalam director Siddique introduced her in movies; the movie “Engal Anna”, gave her a big break. Her popularity in Tollywood was increasing and movies like “Gemini” and “Sontam” faired well in the box office. She also appeared in an English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning. Now she has got movies of different languages to her credit, she acted in English, Tamil and Telugu movies in a very short amount of time. This of course is an indication of her commitment and hardworking nature.
Namitha was a tough girl even from her school days. She learned karate and is said to be a black belt now. She wanted to live an ‘on track’ life with discipline and she loved martial arts for a good reason. Her karate tricks once helped her to get rid of a smutty chaser boy who chased her in a bicycle. No matter whatever she do, she never fails to make it to the media, whether it is about giving a helping hand to the tsunami affected by participating in a charity function or about filing a complaint to the police against the bad guys who threatened her boy friend, she is right there in the news. And the media is always happy to get a piece of her or two at regular intervals.
Namitha believes that one should be bold to face the problems that come their way and running away would not be a solution to the problem. This has been like a theory for her to hold on to and fight against bad things that are to be encountered on the way. Everybody knows that the route to the stardom is harsh, but as a tough girl Namitha has successfully managed it all and it is because of the same reason many consider her as a teen idol.
She recently showered her wrath on Parthiban who is the director of her new movie called “Pachakuthirai” for allegedly using her as a ‘glamour doll’ for the movie and not providing her enough script to act on. But the director did not make any response because just like you and me the poor director also knows the reason why that film is still running in theaters.
Though Namitha is the only daughter of her family she wants to go on with her acting career and she dreams about people recognizing her as a good actress even after a long time. Her upcoming projects include “Malligai malare” (Tamil) and “billa 2007” with Ajith. And she is currently shooting “Azhagiya Tamil Magan” with Vijay and “Njan avanillai” with Jeevan.
Nowadays she is working overtime to finish movies. She has got a lot of movies in her hand right now and more is on her way. No matter whatever the deal is, you can’t resist this tall young well built beautiful thing. She got the talent; she got the guts and of course she got a long way- to go.

The film, based on the life of Indian businessman Dhirubhai Ambani, was critically acclaimed and did well at the box offic.[10] Her most recent film, Provoked, based on the book "Circle of Light" where she portrays a real life character, was released on April 6, 2007 in India and the UK. Career
Making her debut with Mani Ratnam's Tamil film, Iruvar (1997) with Mohanlal,[1] she was introduced to Bollywood in the film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya opposite Bobby Deol, which also released that year; the film didn't do well at the box office.[2] However, her third project, S. Shankar's Tamil film, Jeans (1998) was a critical and commercial success, earning her the Filmfare Best Actress Award South.
She went on to appear in many Bollywood films; a few successful films of her career include Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), which earned the actress her first Filmfare Best Actress Award and Taal (1999), which gave her another nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare; her performances in both the films were lauded.[3] In 2000, she played a supporting role in the hit films Mohabbatein and Josh. Later that year, she also starred in the Tamil film Kandukondain Kandukondain, which won her positive reviews.
In 2002, Rai appeared with superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit in Sanjay Leela Bansali's lavishly produced Devdas. The film attracted overseas attention as well, receiving a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival.[4] It was during this time that she garnered the attention of the West as an Indian actress and went on to appear in a few Hollywood projects. Devdas went on to become the highest grossing film of the year both in India[5] and overseas,[6] earning her the actress her second Filmfare Best Actress Award.
As her name gained popularity overseas, she was chosen by Time magazine in 2004 as one of the World's "100 Most Influential People", and appeared on the cover of Time magazine, Asia Edition (TIMEasia) in 2003. She was the subject of a 60 Minutes profile on January 2. A month later she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. She also featured on Oprah's "Women Across the Globe" segment. In 2003, she acted in the critically acclaimed and commercial success Bengali film, Chokher Bali, an adaptation of one of Rabindranath Tagore's novels by the same name.
Rai has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since 2002, and was a member of the Jury at Cannes in the year 2003. In October 2004, a wax figure of Rai became on display in London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum.[7] The same month, her first foreign film, Bride and Prejudice released. The film was an Indian version of Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice. Her next overseas venture was The Mistress of Spices. She then appeared at the closing ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, as part of a performance showcasing Indian art, on behalf of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, to be held in New Delhi. In between her overseas acting stints, she appeared in the Indian film Bunty Aur Babli in a hugely popular seven minute dance sequence for the song "Kajra Re".
In 2005, Rai signed a three-year contract with L'Oréal, as a spokesmodel for the cosmetics company.
At the end of the year 2006, she had two releases: Umrao Jaan and Dhoom 2. The former did poorly in India but her role in the latter, which was a sequel to the 2004 hit movie Dhoom brought her great attention. While it was a hit commercially,[8] it also sparked a controversy for a scene containing a kiss between her and Hrithik Roshan, which made audiences uncomfortable; a court case is currently pending in India.[9]
2007 saw the release of Mani Ratnam's Guru which premiered in Toronto. Interview amritha rao
She came, she conquered. Amrita Rao is all smiles about her debut film in Telugu with Mahesh getting rave reviews. IG got the Bollywood actress from south Karnataka to talk about her experiences while shooting for Athithi and her bonding with co-star Mahesh and his wife Namrata.
You are doing good in Hindi. Normally, one comes down South when the going is not good in Bollywood. What was the main reason for you accepting a Telugu film?
I was always getting offers from Telugu and Tamil. Also, since my surname is Rao, people assume that I am a Telugu girl. But all along, I was very clear that I would first get a strong foothold in Hindi before I ventured elsewhere. This year, when I was offered Athithi, I felt elated that in an otherwise male-dominated Telugu industry, there was a good character for an actress. Naturally, at this point in my career, it was important for me to ensure that it was the best offer. Then there was Mahesh, the current heartthrob of the Telugu industry from the Padmalaya family. Incidentally, the film is also produced by the Padmalaya Banner. I was really happy when I heard the script and about my role in it. Though I play a Telugu girl from Hyderabad, the character has different layers to it which attracted me to play her. There is this imaginary bit when I got to do Matrix-like stunts. Since it’s a south film, there were bound to be elaborately shot glamour songs. There was a whole range of emotions which I got to show as it was a love story, including doing some good comedy. I got to work with some leading Telugu comedians such as Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Sunil. The climax especially is really nice as it shows the complete transformation of my character. So I think waiting for the right role has paid off. The first day collection of the film is apparently Rs 6 crore 50 lakh, which is really huge for any film. I am happy that I have been accepted in Telugu and it has been a very satisfying experience.
How did the offer come about? How long did you take to decide to say yes?
I got the offer from Manjula from Padmalya. In fact, I had met three years ago when she came along to offer a Telugu film then. But due to my Hindi commitments, I couldn’t give her dates. I was a little ignorant too at that time as to how the Telugu industry functioned, who the big actors were. I didn’t know how popular or big Mahesh was in south. It was sheer coincidence that I was given a DVD by a producer here who wanted to remake one of Mahesh’s hit films in Hindi and around the same time, I got a call from Padmalaya. I was spellbound when I saw his action and I told my family that I must work with such a brilliant actor. Though at that point, I didn’t realise, I was becoming a part of one of the biggest productions of south. I must say, I have really learnt a lot from Mahesh.
Was the language or working in Telugu a matter of concern?
Telugu is not my mother tongue. I actually come from the south of Karnataka. So I had to work that bit more as I wanted to understand what I was saying before I did the lip sync. I used sit with assistant directors and ask the meaning of each word as it was important for me to know the meaning of each word I was saying. Given the response I have got and the fact that people are convinced that I am a Telugu girl, makes me feel elated.
Mahesh is a leading star in the Telugu industry. How did you find the experience of working with a top star from here?
He is one of the biggest actors and the leading stars in the Telugu industry today. One of the most amazing things about him that I think all actors should embody is the fact that he was very particular that I looked good, that I did a good job. Especially during the climax, he constantly told me that I had a lot of scope of performance there and that I had to put in my best. He was also very involved and aware of how he wanted to present his heroine. And that I think was not selfish attitude. Mahesh has a tremendous screen presence and a reputation of dominating his heroines given his good looks and performance. For me, it came both as a surprise and an inspiration that an actor of his standard and of his calibre was also giving importance to his heroine.
It is said you are friends with Namrata and that she played a crucial role in making you accept the film. How was it with her around during shooting or socialising in Hyderabad?
Namrata Shirodkar is a very talented actress and Mahesh’ wife. When I was shooting with them, I had the advantage of her expereince with me as she gave a lot suggestions from make-up to presentation to costumes, as she was my senior. I imbibed a lot from her expereince and she went out of her way to ensure our styling was fantastic. She really needn’t have done that but she took the extra effort to keep an eye on everything to ensure that the production was going well and that was really nice of her!
What’s the one difference between Telugu and Hindi that you have found, in terms of work ethics or ambience?
The only radical difference that I found between the Telugu industry and Bollywood was that they were very successful in taking their first shot of the day at 8 am in the morning, which we at Bollywood should really learn from. Also, they have the best technicians down south. Bollywood has always hired south technicians to do cameram and lighting. I must mention my cinematographer Sameer Reddy who gave quality work in very little time.
Anything that you had tried in terms of your look in the film?
I had to look like a regular girl from Hyderabad in this film. The songs of course were glamourous. Then I had this fictitious character where I did some Matrix action, so I had to look like that, which was novel to me. Otherwise, we tried to give this girl a regular look, as a girl next door in Hyderabad. So we decided to pick up the clothes from the regular malls like Hyderabad Central and other outlets. We wanted the girls sitting in the theatre to probably wear something like what I was wearing in the film, so there is this instant connection.
One incident that will always remain with you vis-à-vis Athithi, both in terms of shooting or during the shoot?
One thing I would like to fondly mention is that I play an art student in the film and when I mentioned the same to Hussain saab, he was very happy to know that I was doing a Telugu film. He has connections in Hyderabad, as his wife is from there and he has his very own famous gallery called Cinema Ghar. There is this sequence where we had to shoot in a gallery and Hussain saab allowed us to shoot there and said everything was on the house for the entire unit during the shoot. So I am really really thankful and grateful to Hussain saab for being big enough to allow us to shoot there.
What to you is the most difficult bit when it comes to acting in a film of a different language?
I think the most difficult part for me was the whole process of speaking a language that I did not understand at all. Although I knew what I was saying, I did not understand the exact pattern of the words I was saying. I haven’t been formally trained as an actress, so most of my responses are highly dependent on the actor opposite me. For me to react to lines in a language that was alien to me, synchronising the responses and remembering my lines was all very challenging. I had to put in a little bit of extra effort here. But it was fun as it was a bit of a different experience for me.
How was it working with director Surender Reddy?
What I liked about him is that he has presented a known formula in a very stylised package. The action sequences and the way they had involved some techniques are very similar to Hollywood. The Telugu audiences internationally too have felt that some parts were just as in Hollywood, especially some stunts, action sequences, the treatment and the background music. When I watched the film, I could see the director’s work. Usually, if you aren’t well-versed with film-making, you just see the hero and heroine’s work. But here, you can see the cinematographer’s input and the director’s input. I think that really helped the film.
Are you game to doing more films in Telugu? Are there more offers you are considering?
Right now, Athithi is one of the biggest and best films I have done. For me to do another Telugu film would mean that I should get something that is as good or at least similar to Athithi. So, I will take my own time. In any case, I don’t rush while selecting my films.

You are shooting with Pawan Kalyan for Jalsa. Finally, is that the title of the film, or is it still a tentative title?
I have the lead role in the film. It is with Pawan Kalyan, so it is coming out good. It is not called Jalsa or anything yet. It is still very tentative.
A li’l something about your role. We have heard there are other girls in the film apart from you…
There is Kamilini and there is Parvati Melton. I wouldn’t talk about my role. But it’s different. Much different from all the other roles I have done.
Tell us about the film…
I can’t talk about the story at all. I will keep mum for now. It will be really very different from what I am, totally different from the image I have on screen. It is a huge comedy flick and a complete entertainer.
When will you start shooting for Vijayabhaskar’s film?
We will be starting Vijayabhaskar’s film in November, in the first week most probably.
What other films have you signed in Telugu and in Bollywood?
So far I am doing a film with Pawan, which will be over soon. Then, I have a film with Tarun which will be starting soon. I have also signed a Bollywood film.
Can you elaborate on the Hindi film…
I am doing a film with Shiny Ahuja. Indrajit Lankesh will be directing it. That’s also a good flick or so I hope.
How would you describe your Bollywood debut film?
It is a very stylish kind of a film. They are using the best of the people to work on the film. My fingers are crossed. I am hoping for the best. Also, I will be seen opposite Shiney, so it should be a good experience.
Are you happy getting the break, after all the hype?
Of course. But Bollywood is not a big deal for me. Yes, the exposure is good, fame is all very good. However, it all depends on the script and the film. If I get better roles in Telugu, then I will do Telugu films. On the other hand, if I get nicer roles in Hindi, then I will do more Bollywood films. Or do both maybe.
What about all those rumours about you being cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan?
I am not doing a film with Salman or with Shah Rukh Khan. I have never even met them and that I hope answers it.
It is rumoured that you are the most highly paid actress in the industry today. How does it feel?
I have so many people coming up to me and asking the same question. It feels good. Maybe it puts you on a new pedestal. But what matters to me is the respect I get, from the people and my producers, irrespective of what I get.
They say you are no-nonsense girl, almost snobbish at times…
Yes, I am very straight forward. There is no way you will get me mincing words. I will never say ‘It’s okay…’. Nothing is okay with me. I am fixed about certain things and that’s the way I like them. If you like it, take me, otherwise, move on. If you are too sweet in this industry, then people tend to take you for granted. You have to be absolutely mean and ruthless sometimes.
Surprisingly, you started acting with Telugu films. How long did it take you to even feel comfortable initially?
When I first started out, I was very young. I just turned18, I was just out of college, very innocent. I had no idea about acting, no idea about being independent. But I worked with a good set. YVS Choudhary was a good person to work with. I had a hard time with getting used to the idea of working more than dealing with people. No one came up to me and asked what a north girl was doing here. I never faced that question. So, it was a good run.
You didn’t know the language, the kind of cinema here… what was your criterion to sign Telugu films?
When I did my first film, Devadas, I didn’t know the story. After I had signed the film, I was told the whole story, scene by scene. That was when I realized, I have to first listen to the whole story before signing a film. I couldn’t just go and accept a film. After Devadas, I made it a point to sit with the producer, director and have a good talk with them, ask them what the story is, what my role would be in detail. Only then, if I am completely sure, I go ahead and sign it.
Pokiri is a huge hit commercially and it has catapulted you to a new level in the industry. Would you rate it among your best?
Frankly, I am really very proud of Rakhi more than Pokiri. I think I did my best work in Rakhi and pushed my limits as far as my acting skills were concerned. People did notice that. Maybe the film didn’t do too well; maybe it was too serious for all the people to watch. But it dealt with certain issues that are very close to me, as far as women’s empowerment is concerned. Even today, women are ill-treated. I signed the film solely because we were pushing that cause.
Actually, flops don’t really affect me at all. In fact, only today, I was thinking about how many flops I have had. But I think even if the films have flopped, I haven’t. If I had flopped, then I would have been out of the industry by now. You get what you deserve I guess. If I deserve to be out, I will go out someday I suppose.
Which banners have you enjoyed working with personally?
More than the banner, I enjoy working with the people more. It would be Ram for starters. I was very comfortable with him. He was my best pals on the set. Then there is Ravi Teja. He is my favourite co-star. He is an absolutely lovely person. Even in this film, I am very comfortable with Pawan and the director. More than working, we are having fun on the sets. So, it’s cool.
Recently, there were reports about you being slapped by Pawan Kalyan. So, what’s the real story?
Yes, I did read about in a newspaper and I am sure everybody knows which paper it is. ‘An ill-tempered Pawan Kalyan slaps Ileana’, it read. When I read it, my eyes almost popped out of my head. I wondered how somebody could write something that stupid. Honestly, he has been the most decent, most sweet person I have ever come across. He is so shy that he hardly talks to me and we rarely chat. He has never raised his voice on the set and never lost his temper. Basically, he is one of the most decent people I have worked with so far. I think the newspaper should check its facts before publishing them and get its priorities right. I can’t believe why people write such nonsense about him. I think what they have done is very wrong. I owe it to him to clear it out. Pawan hasn’t slapped me and I don’t think he ever will slap anybody.
Among your co-stars, which of them was more fun to work with?
I had lots and lots of fun co-stars. Ram was really fun to work with. We had lot of fun moments. Ravi was the most chilled out person I have come across. Every time I used to be a little upset or nervous about my dialogues, he would come in, pep me up and make me laugh non-stop on the sets. Prabhas is a very chilled out chap too. Hmmm… Mahesh is very reserved. We didn’t really chat. But Pawan is very sweet. I felt very comfortable with him.
You still don’t know Telugu. How did you manage all this time?
I found it very odd when I signed Devadas that my director signed me on despite telling him I didn’t know to act or to dance. He told me not to worry and leave it all on him. I really don’t know how he dealt with me. I had a pretty tough time on the sets initially. I wouldn’t get my dialogues right. I used to be very nervous and I used to have butterflies in my tummy. But we managed somehow and it wasn’t that difficult. I think once you get the hang of it, Telugu is not a very difficult language.
What’s your take on glamour, post-Aata?
Glamour is all right, vulgarity is not. I am absolutely okay with glamour, but it depends on how it is portrayed. Even in Aata, there were a couple of my shots which I didn’t like. I expected and trusted my cameraman, my producer and the director to make sure that certain scenes were not put on screen. I think when your intentions are right, when your mind frame is right and when you know deep down that what you are doing is not wrong, then, nothing can harm your image. I don’t want to show off my body for the heck of it. Being glamourous is fine, but I don’t go to the extent of doing it for the sake of getting money. That’s not fair.
Heard your mom does the clothes for you…
Yeah. It’s better when she does the costumes. She knows what I like, what I am comfortable in. She knows I am very particular about certain things like the fit, the material, so it works.
Tell us about your hometown Goa
Everybody thinks I am from Goa. Actually, I was born and brought up in Mumbai. My father is a Goan and my mom is from Mumbai. I spent seven years in Goa and it is a chilled out place, very laidback. I wish I had a house there so I can settle down there. I really liked my life there. I came back to Mumbai only when I signed Telugu films. All my work’s in Mumbai, so I can never get back there.
What does Ileana do when she has time?
When I was younger, I used to sing a lot. So, at one point, I thought I would become a singer. But I became an actress. I have lost touch with singing but I am trying to get back to it.
Honestly, do you have any girlfriends in the industry or is it a case of the so-called cat fights among heroines?
So many. Parvati and Kamalini, for example. Parvati and I are just inseparable. We chat non-stop on the sets that we don’t like it when it’s pack-up time. She is really fun to hang out with. Then there is Tamanna, who I did a film with. We miss those times, as we are all doing different films. Contrary to what people think, we get along like a house on fire.
Given a choice, what are the kind of films you like doing?
It depends on what the audience likes and that’s how a film sells. These days, audiences are very stressed due to work and want to go out and see out-and-out entertainers. So I would like to do fun films, as it’s also fun shooting for entertainers. But I would also want to try serious roles, roles that would challenge me. I don’t have a dream role as such, but anything challenging would interest me.
Nowadays, it is fashionable for the celebs to be associated with a cause. Are you too?
Charity is something you are doing for somebody else and I don’t see why one should publicise it. Even if I am doing charity, I prefer not talking about it as it is something I feel like doing since I am in a position where I can help somebody. People should understand that we have a certain image and some people look up to us. We have a certain responsibility and if we set a certain image, then it is better.
You are shooting with Pawan Kalyan for Jalsa. Finally, is that the title of the film, or is it still a tentative title?
I have the lead role in the film. It is with Pawan Kalyan, so it is coming out good. It is not called Jalsa or anything yet. It is still very tentative.

Mantra review
Story - screenplay - direction: Story deserves a special mention in this film. Story of the film is compact and the storyline is unpredictable laced with suspense. However these kind of stories are good for 1 and half hour films. Hence the narration becomes too slow. The initial part of the film is not interesting. But the story takes interesting twists and turns once Sivaji starts living in Mantra Nilayam. Screenplay of the film is nice. The director should be commended for sticking to his own plot in stead of trying to be commercial for the sake of masses. It is a decent effort by the debutant director Tulasi Ram.
Other departments: Background music by Anand is excellent. Cinematography, Color grading and sounds play vital role in any horror films. And all these three departments are good in this film. Since it is a horror film, the director preferred to shoot the most of the film is dark rooms and during the night. Dialogues are adequate. Choreography for Maha song (an unabashed lift of My Hump (Black Eyed Peas)) by Prem Rakshit is good. Editing is ok.
Analysis: If the motive of any horror film is to scare you, this film succeeds to that aspect. And the basic premise of any thriller is to maintain suspense till the end of the film. This film succeeds in suspense aspect too. But the narration of the film is too long. There are many unnecessary shots in the film which are just inserted for creating horror. Certain logics are missing. If you like horror flicks, it's a must watch.

Mantra review
Mantra’s (Charmme) parents die when she was young and she lives with her friend Vinny (Karuna Sri). She inherits an ancestral property called 'Mantra Nilayam' in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Mantra Nilayam is called as haunted house because of two untimely deaths in that farm house few years back. She wants to sell it off, but no body comes forward to buy the property due to its reputation. A professor comes forward to buy that house with a condition that somebody should stay there for three months. Hero (Sivaji) is a small time goon who looks after land settlements. Hero wants to stay in the house so that he would get a commission of the sale once 'Mantra Nilayam' is sold. The rest of the story is all about how Hero demystifies everything.
Artists Performance
Charmme: Charmme is extremely good in a shot where she acts like as if she has seen the ghost. She is very good in the title role. She exposed liberally in the film. She has put on a bit of excess weight and it shows up in certain odd angles. The dubbing provided by Sunita should also be commended.
Sivaji: Sivaji is the man for all the seasons in Telugu film industry. He is just amazing and fits into any role effortlessly. He did a typical role of a Pokiri in this film. His comedy timing is excellent. He brings credibility to his character.
Others: The fine thing about this film are characterizations. All the characters in the film are well defined. Chitram Seenu is good. Vijay creates humor. Jeeva is excellent. Kausha did a special role in this film. Mallikharjuna Rao and others are adequate.

Anasuya review
Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is good. But what makes this film special is the screenplay. Each and every character is nicely connected with the main storyline. The director succeeded in maintaining the suspense of the film till interval. But the film goes on a predictable mode in the second half. Direction of the film is adequate.
Other departments: Music (especially the background score) by Sekhar Chandra is good. Cinematography by Sudhakar Reddy is an asset. The director did not use much lights for the night shots as it is a thriller. Nivas dialogues are adequate. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is fair.
Analysis: First half of the film is interesting. Second half is okay. The climax of the film is too lengthy. The plus points of the film are casting (Bhumika & Allari Ravi) and technical aspects. On the flipside, the suspense element is less in the second half and the duration of climax fight is more. On a whole, Anasuya is a different film in thriller genre. It would be liked by the people who love watching these kind of films.

Anasuya review
Anasuya is an orphan and a post graduate in criminal psychology. She joins a TV channel as a reporter. She is entrusted with a job to crack the secrets behind mysterious serial killings followed by a collecting of body organs. The killer always leaves a rose at the crime scene as the proof of his identity. Meanwhile, a cop (Abbas) is also bestowed with the responsibility to solve the mystery. The rest of the story is all about how Anasuya chases the serial killer and unravels the mystery behind his killings.
Artists Performance
Bhumika Chawla is perfect in the role of Anasuya. A character like Anasuya needs an able actress like Bhumika Chawla who has got command over histrionics. She did a good job with subtle and terse expression. Abbas is alright for the role in male lead. Ravi Babu looks deadly and he shaved off his eyebrows to look ghastly. Ankita did a miniscule role and Nikhita did a vital role. Harsha and Sameer did well among the others.
